Nice little motel, great price and the place is owned and ran by one of the nicest man you will ever meet. For an older motel the rooms are comfy and bug and drama free. Beautiful view of the ocean from here.
Wonderful friendly on site owner/manager. Clean room with kitchen inc utensils. We did see a couple pests but it is by the ocean. And I've seen worse at higher priced places. Def will visit again!
Great mom-and-pop hotel right across the street from the ocean
If your looking for a place to stay near Ormond this is the place. My daughter and I had originally booked at another hotel but when we arrived our reservation was cancelled. After a 14 hour drive we were ready to put our feet up. After the frustration of the cancellation we scouted the area hoping to find a vacancy near the ocean. We stopped at Ocean Mist hoping to find a room. The owner Chuck took us right in and spoke to us as if he had known us our whole lives. He was friendly, personable, and down to earth. The rate was cheaper than our original hotel which was a bonus, and we were checked in, settled, and at the beach within 15 minutes of arrival. Chuck offered the use of a surfboard he owned and recommended surfing lessons from the surf shop next door. There is an observation deck atop the office as well that was open to guests to use and provided wonderful views of the beach and surrounding area. If your looking for 4 star accommodations with a silver spoon to feed from this is not the place you want. But if you want to be able to spend your time at the beach in a convenient comfortable location I would recommend Ocean Mist any day. I would recommend bringing a power strip with you though if you have devices to charge as with Ocean Mist being an older hotel there were limited outlets in our room. We will be going back for sure! We are on a no destination vacation and this was where we stopped for the night. Very inexpensive and clean, the rooms were small but comfortable. The manager was very friendly and helpful. Great view from outside of your room.
Super affordable, cozy and clean room with amenities. The beach is literally a walk across the street. Staff was friendly and helpful. Close to restaurants and state parks. Will definitely stay here again!
Love this hidden gem. This location reminds you of the "real Florida". The view of The beach from their balcony was fantastic. Owner was very friendly. The rooms were clean and bed comfortable.
